Yue Liang, certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with Maverick Helicopters, graduated from AIM Las Vegas in October 2018.  He completed all three written exams, studied for his A&P certification with our senior instructors and successfully passed his oral and practical requirements within a month of graduation.

Yue has continuously been recognized and awarded for Outstanding Attendance and Academic Achievement. He took his education seriously and stayed on point with his plan of action: to obtain his A&P ratings and secure employment in the aviation field. Yue is currently employed with Maverick Helicoptersas an A&P mechanic and is responsible for the maintenance of their tour helicopters. The fleet includes ECOStar EC130 helicopters, which are in operation exclusively at Maverick Helicopters’ Las Vegas, Henderson Executive Airport and Grand Canyon locations.

The ECOStar is the most modern helicopter flown in Las Vegas and offers the highest level of safety in the industry. Maverick is a partner of the Aviation Institute of Maintenance Las Vegas campus and participates in employer events and PAC member meetings. AIM Las Vegas was selected as a pipeline school for Maverick Helicopters’ A&P helicopter maintenance mechanics. Maverick visits AIM Las Vegas regularly and has donated training equipment for project assignments.
